The Circle of Fifths is a map that reveals the internal structure of the music: How many sharp and flats each tone has, what key a score is in, what major, minor and diminished chords are on a scale, and much more.

Knowing the Circle of Fifths and knowing how to move around it is essential for every musician.

I have decided to start from the premise that we are tuned in Equal Temperament because that way it took me out of trouble, and in a first approximation it makes everything more understandable. But in tunings of Good Temperament or even other temperaments, the circle of fifths is also useful! What happens is that I would have to put so many disclaimers that there would be more disclaimers than video. In the end for that there are theory books, teachers, and even long video courses on the subject. Summary: C# is not always the same as Db, but that does not make the circle less useful, just more complex.
