Ultimate Showdown: FIBERGLASS vs BAMBOO fly rod for Dry Fly Fishing

This video is my take and experience comparing a fiberglass fly rod versus my own self made split cane bamboo fly rods.
I have to say I like how light the fiberglass rod is and how it feels in one's hands.
It's a little bit more bendy than what I prefer comparing to my #3 weight Bamboo rod. Probably also, because the #2 weight rod is lighter and thinner.
The rod performs and casts nicely, but I do less casts on my bamboo rods in general to cover the same amount of distance.
Still I enjoyed using the rod. It's just a different feel I gues. I still have a 6 weight fiberglass fly rod that I got from my dad when I was about 10 years old.
With the right fly line that old rod casts like a dream.
I have graphite fly rods as well and like using them in general, but when I go stream fishing for Browns I prefer my short bamboo fly rods #3 & #4 weight.
I find them presenting the fly with finesse and use them for streamers and dry dropper rigs as well.
I will use the fiberglass rod in the future. It's nice and short and manage well in these bushy areas where there are many trees etc.
Thank you for watching my video. I will try to get as many videos out in the future as possible.
