“If the UK government were to decide not to allow those to go, then the Israeli war on the Palestinians would grind to a halt.”

Anna Stavrianakis, an International Relations Professor at Sussex University, said during an episode of BBC Newsnight on Thursday that the UK supplies 15 percent of components for every Israeli F35 fighter jet, and the result of the UK halting those supplies would be a cessation of Israel’s war on the Palestinians.

Her comments come amid growing calls for the UK to cease arms sales and supplies to Israel after seven aid workers in Gaza were killed by multiple Israeli air strikes earlier this week. Three of the aid workers were British nationals.
