Tim hasn't unplugged the grinder since you last saw this LSX swapped, twin turbo 1970s Chevelle! This week we're cutting away the rest of our pristine floorboard to be able to start fabrication a new transmission and driveshaft tunnel in order to fit our new gearbox set up. Tim's chopping, welding and hammering away so that we can sit our body back down on our Roadstershop chassis and get it bolted down nice and snug. Now, the chassis will be getting a fresh protective coat of paint before final assembly, but we need the body of this SS Chevelle mocked up right, so that we know that everything will be sitting in the proper place for our Garrett turbo set up. Along with getting the fenders, core support, and wheel wells in place. We also need our Holley accessory drive kit bolted on our LSX to get a clear idea of exactly how much room we'll have to run all of our turbo piping. With our entire front end mocked up on the Chevelle, Tim busts out our G series turbos and gets to work cutting mounts and welding the two mirror image spooly boys into the engine bay. He's got them set right behind the inner headlights on both sides of the car, putting us in a perfect position to make some sick headlight intake ducts. These twin turbos sit beautifully inside the engine bay and we're one step closer to a boosted LSX motor. The next time you see this car, we'll be creating headers, exhaust, and intake piping to connect the dots between our 376 and our two turbos!
