You need to troubleshoot ram issues if your computer doesn't POST. This is different to testing RAM if you computer does POST with something like MemTest86. Either one or all of the RAM sticks can be faulty, or one or all of the Ram slots can be faulty. The best thing to do is to test the RAM in a different known working system, and also to test known working RAM in your existing motherboard. Listening to the beep codes during POST will give you a lot of indication to the problem. Sometimes just cleaning and/or reseating the RAM can resolve the issue.
