Every dog & knife pig hunt is different. Some come with daunting physical challenges while others come with emotional sadness when our dogs get hurt or even worse.
This hunt would be the easiest hunt to date with Po dog pulling the boar up when Bigsy & Pace chased him straight to us right beside the truck. Because it all happened in the blink of an eye none of suspected that this smaller boar about 80lbs strong had got one of his little sharp tusks into Bigsy and punctured his leg severing an artery. While we were celebrating the kill Bigsy was only 15 meters down the bank below us slowly bleeding out. When I went to give he dogs their treat of posyum back at the truck Bigsy did not come running as usual. It was there that I realized that something was wrong.
