In this video I show I turned a regular $16.99 boxwood shrub into a bonsai tree. I found this tree at my local Lowes store, and I was amazed by how semi thick the trunk was with an interesting nebari. So I decided to give it a go. This tree was surprisingly easy to style but I was trying to be extra careful not to snap any of the thin branches. It definitely needed a repot, the soil was disgusting, it smelled like sewer water.
