As a woodworker that uses predominantly power tools, I wanted a traditional workbench for getting rid of machine marks and hand fitting joinery. While a great majority of woodworkers are building large, complicated, and expensive traditional workbenches, I decided to design a workbench that was specific to my needs. I’ll be honest, I was greatly tempted to build a splittop Roubo workbench. However, the ease of building this small workbench increased my confidence, saved me some money, and quickly got another project under my belt. Lastly, I think this workbench is a real eye catcher.
