Storyline:
The life of Tom Rosser, a towntaming gunmanforhire, takes a turn when a bullet meant for him, from the gun of a renegade, Lee Ring, kill's Rosser's wife, Carol, instead. Ring, had been sent by the ruthless Kansas gangleader, Riley Condor, to kill Rosser. The latter goes to White Plains, supposedly to look over property to but his agenda is to kill Condor. Word gets around that Rosser is in town and Condor realizes that his gunslinging henchmen, Horsinger, Tavenner, Slim Akins, Flon and Ring, are no match for Rosser, and he sets in motion a plan that will use the law to eliminate Rosser.

But here Andrews is far more loose and intrepid: a revengedriven former gunman reanimated following wife Coleen Gray's accidental death i.e. A bullet meant for him, set up by casinoowning villain lording over another TOWN (cheating newly paid miners), using local loser DeForest Kelley to initially thwart Dana's mission to rid his decadesearlier FALLEN ANGEL rival Bruce Cabot...

And the real scenestealer is his hired gun/thug played by enigmatic rogue Lyle Bettger: As the prologue slayer of Andrews's wife Coleen Gray, the audience knows what our hero doesn't, and, since Cabot is far more crooked/deadly than his own assassin, the hired killer (posing as a Marshal) provides Andrews random advice instep with neatly paced suspense leading to an inevitable, predictable yet aboveaverage gunblasting/fallingfromrooftop finale...

Also, Terry Moore, as a fasttalking lass, provides a romantic interest (in a bad marriage with Kelley) more interesting than most. Making this a nifty characterdriven timefiller also including Barton MacClane, Richard Jaekel, Lon Chaney Jr., Pat O'Brien, Roger Torrey (a giant baddie providing the best fistfight)...
