A lot of people ask me where they can get the best PBR textures to use in their projects. There’s a lot of sites where you can get these highquality textures from, but sometimes it’s hard to find them! So in today’s video, I’ll give a list of 8 best sites to download PBR textures, for FREE.
PBR stands for Physically Based Rendering, these textures help create realistic materials in any lighting situation.
Before we start, I want to show you an example of what these textures do. So here I have an object with PBR materials (showing 3d with text on the side appearing saying Base Color, Normal Map, Gloss Map, and Displacement). Let’s start breaking down all the textures.
The first one is our Albedo / Base Color / Diffuse texture, as the name says, this is where you have your base color, or base texture of metal, or concrete, grass, etc.
Normal map, this is really important because it determines the illusion of depth and other small details in your texture. It basically shows which areas the light is bouncing on and off without having to use extra geometry. (Show the comparison between with and without).
So you can see that on the left side we have without any normals, the texture looks very flat, as for the right side with a normal map we can see all the extra details as if it has more polygons.
Gloss map. This determines the ability to reflect or to absorb light. So, the whiter the areas the more light it will reflect, the darker the less light is reflected.
The displacement map is used to displace areas on your map, the darker the area, the lower these areas will be, and the lighter areas on your texture map will be raised. I go a lot more indepth in my Lumion Render Course into this subject, so if you want to learn more, I'll give you a link to it in the top right corner and in the description below this video.

This is done using Lumion rendering software for architectural visualization. It’s a great 3D render software that saves a ton of time for architects because it helps you achieve the level of detail and realism not available in any other similar software.

Lumion is fully compatible with most 3D modeling software, including Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, 3ds Max, Rhino, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, and many others.
