We are spending a month in the beautiful city of Florence, Italy. Next week we will bring you on our delicious food experience, but this week we are going to show you the top spots we think you will enjoy on your next visit to Florence. First, we see the Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore or Saint Mary of the Flowers. This structure is most known for its amazing dome, which was completed in 1436 and still remains as the largest masonry dome in the world. Next, we visit the Pitti Palace. This palace is not only an amazing structure that housed three different dynasties, but currently houses 5 museums. Along with the palace, are the beautiful Boboli Gardens. These gardens give breathtaking views of the city, while also mixing sculptures and nature in a way that you will never forget. Next, we venture to the Piazzale Michelangelo. This wonderful park overlooks the city of Florence and is dedicated to the memory and work of Michelangelo. Finally, we take a quick stop at the Academia Gallery which houses the original David, sculpted by Michelangelo between 1501 and 1504. This was an amazing city full of architecture, history and art.
