What was the name of the most potent and wellknown pirate ship ever? Nearly since the start of the maritime sector's existence, sea pirates have established their presence. Despite their long history at sea, the majority of pirates' exact story is still a secret to the rest of the world. There was a time in history when piracy was so pervasive that numerous trade ships carrying enormous sums of money and valuable goods were pillaged by the most expert pirates the world had ever seen.

CSS Alabama
On August 24, 1862, Enrica was renamed CSS Alabama and upgraded to a cruiser. Alabama spent two months under Captain Raphael Semmes capturing and sinking North Atlantic ships and intercepting US food shipments to Europe.

Rising Sun
Rising Sun, a 35gun pirate ship, boarded 135 men under Captain Christopher Moody. Before Moody formed his own company, Black Bart commanded it. In 1718, Captain Frowd's brigantine and a sloop with eight guns followed the Rising Sun.

Revenge
After leaving the harbor, the pirate despite telling the authorities he would get a privateering license. Blackbeard used the Revenge as a base while Bonnet "rested" after defeating it. Blackbeard betrayed Bonnet in a fight on December 10, 1718, and he was slain.

The Fancy
They renamed the ship Fancy and looted Indian Ocean cargo ships. The GanjiSawai, a 40gun treasure ship belonging to India's Grand Mogul, was defeated in July 1695, one of their greatest victories.

Delivery
The Gambia Castle (Delivery), a midsized English Man of War, carried George Lowther as second mate to Africa in 1721. Lowther convinced the unhappy men to mutiny against the captain after falling out of favor. They took over Gambia Castle and renamed her Delivery before sailing out for piracy.

Whydah
"Black Sam" Bellamy's pirates took the Whydah in the Windward Passage between Cuba and Hispaniola. The pirates made the ship their flagship and kidnapped the crew.

Royal Fortune
Over three years, Bartholomew "Black Bart" Roberts pirated hundreds of ships. He named several flagships Royal Fortune during this time. The biggest Royal Fortune, a 40cannon monster with 157 men, could fight any Royal Navy ship of the day.

Adventure Galley
Captain William Kidd hunted French warships and pirates in the Caribbean with the 34gun Adventure Galley. The Adventure Galley had 34 cannons and 23 oars to help the voyage in calm winds.

Queen Anne’s Revenge
Blackbeard dubbed the Concorde Queen Anne's Revenge after England's queen and added 40 guns. Blackbeard ruled the Caribbean and eastern North America from his 40cannoned ship.

The Flying Dutchman is a mythical pirate ship. In European nautical folklore, the Flying Dutchman is a ghost ship that sails eternally and warns seafarers of disaster. It's a cursed ship, or the ghost ship.
