In honour of the 40th anniversary of the first GShock watch, Casio has released a limitededition timepiece, the DW5040PG.

The DW5040PG is made from recrystallized and deeplayer hardened stainless steel, resulting in a sleek and durable case back, buckle, and band loop that are black ionplated and gold ionplated for a striking appearance. The bezel and band are crafted from biomass plastics, which help to reduce the watch's environmental impact.

To pay homage to the original GShock development team, the watch is engraved with the words "PROJECT TEAM 'Tough'" on the dial and features a band loop with four stars to represent the 40th anniversary.
