Follow along as the Auto Finesse turn back the hands of time detailing another piece of Automotive history. Now we will be the first to admit we didn't know what a "Tommy Kaira M20si" was when we first laid eyes on it, but we could fully appreciate its retro quirkiness, the shapes, the lines, split rim wheels, and a crazy electric boot lid spoiler. Something else we can appreciate is a car of this era still being in such good shape, it's a testament to its previous owners, but as with all cars of a certain age, the paint had lost its lustre a little due to all the fine micros scratches and swirls from repeat washing over the years. Areas that are not usually accessible had a buildup of excess road grime. Despite the best intentions of someone waxing this car (a lot, we might add), wax and polish residue in light mould markings, door handle gaps, and crevises made for some unsightly white marks in the details.

Our friends at HJA kindly asked us to see if we could add some extra curb appeal to the PS13, and we jumped at the chance of detailing such a rare and unusual car.

After our usual deep clean wash and 3 stage decontamination process, we got into the detailing bay to be greeted with a curveball that we weren't expecting. Paint readings as low as 50 microns in some areas. We had to tread careful whilst pushing past the point of comfort to get the results we all wanted from this solid black paintwork.
