It’s my first time in Tokyo and I was determined to do a few off the beaten path experiences to truly get to know Japanese culture. In this video, I explore Japanese cuisine with Arigato Food Tours where we sampled wonderful dishes from the various prefectures. I also learned two classical Japanese arts of refinement, the Way of Tea (Chado) and the Way of Fragrance (Kodo), and met with perfumer Satori Osawa whose perfumes are based on traditional Japanese culture. I end my short time in Tokyo by taking a day trip to Nikko, a sacred town in the Tochigi prefecture, on the new Revaty Tobu line.
