I came to Tokushima Prefecture in Shikoku by bus from Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture.
Tokushima is a very important place that serves as the starting or ending point of the pilgrimage called Ohenro.
The pilgrimage takes you to 88 temples in Shikoku.
Shikoku is not so familiar to tourists except for its natural beauty, but if you are interested in this very interesting pilgrimage, you should give it a try.
There are a lot of foreigners on the pilgrimage.
Japanese Gods are very tolerant, so there is no problem even if you are a pagan.
Don't worry, people in Shikoku will help you if you have any problems on your trip.

兵庫県の淡路島からバスに乗って四国の徳島県へやってきました。
徳島はお遍路という巡礼の旅の出発点・終着点になるとても重要な場所ですね。
暖かくなってきたので、あちこちでお遍路さんを見かけました。
観光となるとあまりイメージしにくい四国ですが、お遍路の文化が四国を他にない特別な土地にしています。
