During the day, you may see groups leaving on day trips, multiday tours, or rentals. The harbour is a busy place, with sea kayakers, water taxi, float planes, whale watch vessels, fishing boats, and industrial ships.

The tides in Tofino can vary as much as 14 feet or 4.1 m (typical days only 510 feet). With the tides, you may see the strong tidal currents which flow past the docks, as they fill the deep inlets beyond the far mountains.
