Hello! This is Waldo again, with another radical portable container packing.
What I mean by radical is that we will try to use absolutely all space available inside of the container.
We will also try to use even the space between the vertical metal beams of the PODS.
These containers are stacked in the warehouse, so we always leave some room between the top of the layers and the ceiling of the container.
After we position an armoire, we load it up with boxes and other items so save space.
Only soft and not breakable items, such as pillows and comforters, are packed touching the ceilings.
Here, we also put Items, like folding chairs, inside of bookshelves.
I don't like to put heavy items on top of the shelves. The weight of heavy items, such as book boxes, can break the shelves during the container transportation, pick up or delivery.
Next, I position big pictures which we have boxed up.
This household has a lot of chairs. I use furniture as a base and puzzle all the chairs on top of it. This is a safe way to pack chairs, which are always a pain to position.
Most pieces of furniture were protected with paper pads and shrink wrap.
Although there is no glue in the shrink wrap, just by contact, one piece of wrapped furniture gets stuck to the other. The result is a firm and safe packing job.
Now we load the lamps that were packed in boxes.
We saved to the end of the packing a bed frame, to use as a barrier.
This is useful to avoid items from falling towards the door and locking it up.
It can be hard to open up the sliding door when it is time for the container unloading.
