The Truax Dam in Walkerton, Ontario was identified as a major barrier for fish migrating upstream in the Saugeen River. The dam was removed with funding by Bruce Power LP in August 2019. Biotactic is conducting a longterm monitoring study, on behalf of Bruce Power, to determine and quantify the benefits of this removal for the entire fish community throughout the Saugeen River watershed.
