Most trilobites in the known world and shallow inland sea belong to the highly diverse proetids. In the deeper and colder Khalin Sea, the harpids are the most common lineage, best represented by the hoofhead. In the abyss, harpids are much more common, being among the most common creatures in the deep ocean floors.
