This week it is the turn of the Südostbahn and their Voralpen Express. Their beautiful Stadler FLIRT trains run between St Gallen and Luzern through the lower slopes of the Alps, or the PreAlps (hence Voralpen). The weather wasn't great, but even so, this journey has a very worthy story to tell as the train goes up and down the hills (and through them) showing the wonderful rolling Swiss countryside. Expect hills, views, tunnels, viaducts, lakes and probably the nicest regional train anywhere.
