Kgalagadi Photography Know the Kgalagadi Transfrontier park Full Hour Documentary 1 “The Auob river bed" EDUCATIONAL.

This 1h15min educational Film/Documentary Joe Produced in 2006 is an overview of the ecological workings of the Auob River in the Kgalagadi

The Auob river (dry) bed and the Nossob river (dry) beds are the two ancient river systems that run through the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and it is where 80% plus of all the predator/prey action occurs. The only two major roads follow these river beds for exactly that reason. From Lion, Leopard and Cheetah kills to Cobras hunting rodents. Nowhere else can predator prey interaction be so openly observed. That's why I call it a wild river. The very old Camelthorn trees along the river bed of the Auob creates the micro habitat that jump starts almost the whole cycle. Humans would barely survive a few kilometers if left to walk down the river bed.
This film is the first that explains the ecological workings of this ecosystem through the three seasons on a macro level and introduce some of its plants and animals. This first of the series was intended to be an Informative documentary for the lovers or visitors of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and not a traditional wildlife film.
