The Perfect Cake was created to inspire our next generation of bakers to believe in themselves and follow their hearts while having fun along the way! ❤ In addition to being a storybook, The Perfect Cake is also a baking book! There are two beginnerfriendly recipes to get your kiddos as excited about baking as they are about enjoying the finished product.

Baking can teach us so many things to work hard, to make time for the things that light us up, to learn when to follow instructions…and when to take a risk (hey, we’ve all had to make a lastminute substitution!)

Whether you’re cuddling up for story time before bed (sweet dreams! ) or are getting your hands dirty in the kitchen, The Perfect Cake will help your family make, bake, and enjoy some seriously sweet memories.

I invited my good friend Ellis ‪@TheCakingGirl‬ to recreate the cake from the book with me. In this cake, there is a layer for the entire family. Chocolate, vanilla, carrot, banana, vanilla spice, red velvet... There is something for everyone! We stack the layers with my Italian meringue buttercream and decorate with an easy ganache drip and sprinkles! It doesn't take much to make an amazing cake and Ellis is here to prove it to you! : )
