They Found This Growing In The Air Ducts...So Amazing

It's another great day in North Alabama with Yappy Beeman. Todays fun is in Rogersville, Alabama where I am removing bees from under an elevated house deck from a wooden boxed area that covered a floor vent on the inside. The bees had been known to be there for about 2 months and by looking at the color of the comb, I would agree. As bees use the comb over time, it becomes darker with use by the bees.
It was a pleasure not only to assist this family with their bee issue but to work with a colony of bees that were in a great mood and didn't get defensive by my actions. Alabama is not in an area to have Africanized bees but a strain of European honey bee genetics that are more suited to be less aggressive when handled.
This hive of bees are great workers. I found they had a good amount of honey stores which was open fed back to them so they could rebuild in a new beehive and get back to being bees.
Big thanks to Kenny and Rosie for letting me come out and help with their bee issue and have a little fun in the process.

Shout out to my friends @628DirtRooster and @JPthebeeman. Watch out for me and my new Beemobile to fly down and see y'all real soon.

The rehome process consists of collecting the bees into a catch box that does not harm them, removing the comb they use to reproduce bees as well as store food. If the comb can be reused, it is placed in wooden frames and placed in a beehive. If not, they are given resources to rebuild in an apiary ( bee yard) out in the country away from future harm.
I was excited to have been able to catch and show the queen bee in this episode. Queen bees are a bit bigger and longer in body, as well as a little different in color. Without a queen, the hive can not reproduce and will surely die.

Yappy Beeman is a professional bee remover performing live honey bee removals in Alabama as "Alabama Bee Rescue" and relocates them to apiaries away from residential areas so they can rebuild and thrive as a honey bee colony producing honey. Yappy is an Alabama Beekeepers association member that has performed over 1000 live bee removals. Yappy with the help of his great friend and mentor; @Jpthebeeman, a professional beekeeper , has learned many skills to remove bee swarms and honey bee colonies safely for the bees and homeowners alike.
