Recipe

Ingredients:
4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar, divided
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup allpurpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Stir until the peaches are well coated in the sugar and spices. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining 1/2 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the softened butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4. Sprinkle the flour mixture evenly over the peaches in the baking dish.

5. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the flour mixture.

6. Bake in the preheated oven for 4045 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly around the edges.

7. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

8. Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired. Enjoy your homemade peach cobbler dump cake!
