Not much is known about Edward Jordan Sr., and Franklin rarely talked about her first two pregnancies. According to Ritz’s biography, Jordan Sr. was described as someone Franklin once knew. The wills also clearly state that Jordan Sr. should never receive or manage any money or property belonging to Clarence because he never contributed to Clarence's wellbeing, neither in the past nor in the future. This point is emphasized twice in the wills.
