Casa M101 Corsaro Architetti

In a landscape context of great value such as that of the Itria Valley, a hilly place characterized by the presence of oaks and olive trees, stands a 150 m2 suspended house. The desire to preserve the integrity of the place led to the choice of a project that did not touch the ground.
The client's desire was to have a house with a strong identity linked to the territory to communicate their love for nature.

The building is characterized by two horizontal jutting reinforced concrete slabs that float parallel, forming a portico. This space is shaded and sheltered from the elements, offering an ideal place to contemplate the view.

On the rear side, a garden bordered by dry stone walls creates a protected area (orthus conclusus), a more intimate place for the house's guests. The technological solutions adopted to guarantee high standards of energy efficiency have been integrated and harmonized with the architecture of the building.

The organization of the spaces of the house revolves around the living area, which is the beating heart of the home. This area houses the living room, dining area and kitchen, and is characterized by large windows that overlook the surrounding landscape. In this way, the house opens up to nature and invites its inhabitants to live in harmony with the environment.
On the left wing of the house is the master bedroom, which has a private bathroom and a walkin closet. This room is the ideal place for rest and relaxation, and offers a high level of comfort.
On the right wing of the house are the two guest bedrooms, which share a bathroom. These rooms are spacious and bright, and are perfect for hosting friends and family.

The use of local materials, such as limestone and oak wood, and elements that refer to the local building tradition, such as dry stone walls, establish a relationship with the Apulian territory. The suspended house is an example of sustainable architecture that perfectly combines the need to respect the landscape with the search for high standards of living comfort.
