Crossing off the Steepest Mile! Finally! The Wildcat Ridge Trail in New Hampshire has a one mile section that rises I believe about 1,800 ft in elevation gain in just one mile! 2,000 ft in 1.5! Making it the actual legit steepest mile on the AT. Located around the location of one of the most popular Ski Resorts in NH. Loved this hike getting to cross off Wildcat ‘A’ and ‘D’ summits and walking down the ski slopes was a treat!
Definitely a very difficult trek, not much exposure just a lot of level 2 scrambling.
Highly recommend this route!

Safety first in any season, friendly reminder to be wearing proper hiking attire, have your ten essentials and bring plenty of food and water! Hydration is much more difficult to maintain on longer more strenuous hikes, especially in the summer months. Bring multiple sources of navigation and back up batteries for your devices.. my recommendation. Hike safe!
