The Star is overwhelmingly taken as a message of hope and a bright future. When she appears in a spread she can herald a newfound sense of purpose in our lives. The card's position in the Fool’s Journey can be viewed as the calm following the storm of the Devil and the Tower.
When the walls of illusion come crashing down and we’re left with our true selves exposed, the Star can be seen as the shining light that descends to fill our hearts with love and inspiration.
When the Star appears upside down it can be taken as a sign of resisting the card's message of hope and optimism. Arrogance has also been mentioned as an aspect of the inverted Star.
The big takeaway from the Star is the concepts of hope, calm, optimism and feeling like you’re getting on the right track after a bad time.
