SOUTHERN SLEIGH RIDE

2 oz/60 ml Bourbon
.5 oz/15 ml Cointreau
1 oz/30 ml Lime Juice
.5 oz/15 ml Orgeat *
.25 oz/7.5 ml Ginger Syrup **

Method

1. Add all of the ingredients to a shaker tin.
2. Shake with ice for 1015 seconds.
3. Free pour into a rocks glass with crushed ice.
4. Garnish with a lime wedge.

8 oz/240 ml Chopped Almonds
12 oz/360 g White Sugar
10 oz/300 ml Water
1 Tsp/5 ml Orange Flower water
1 oz/30 ml Brandy

Method

1. Add water and sugar to sauce pan and heat until clear.
2. Chop almonds into small bits and add to sugar syrup.
3. Simmer for three minutes and gradually increase temperature until mixture boils.
4. Remove from Heat and add Brandy and Orange Flower water to mixture.
5. Let sit for 38 hours.
6. Strain using two layers of cheese cloth or a nut milk bag, and bottle.

6 oz/180 g White Sugar
6 oz/180 ml Water
7 oz/210 g Gliced Ginger.

Method

1. Place sugar and Water and Sliced Ginger into a sauce pan.
2. Use medhigh heat and heat until Sugar is fully dissolved.
3. Stir and allow to simmer 1520 min.
4. Fine Strain and allow to cool before use.
