It was April of 1945, and Germany was in flames. The bombing raids had decimated the cities, towns, and factories where the Wehrmacht mustered its last war assets, and the Americans had almost seized Western Germany.

It was then that US soldiers from General Patton's Third Army were conducting mopup operations across the Rhine when a unit of infantrymen stumbled upon a battered airfield facility.

Upon entering to secure it, the soldiers were baffled by what they saw. The place was filled with aircraft unlike anything they had ever seen, and they looked almost otherworldly.

A German engineer then told them that the flying wing aircraft that lacked a tail and resembled a stingray were jetpowered prototypes.

The Americans immediately knew they had to seize them and destroy any evidence before the Soviets realized Germany had developed a oneofakind aircraft with toptier technology.

Only they could uncover the secrets of the unique German aircraft design dubbed the Ho 229…
