20191009 When Kitten Academy moved from Illinois to Connecticut in the summer of 2019, their eldest “faculty” member at that time, Smokey, underwent a surprising transformation. At age 20, she could certainly be excused from being antisocial with other cats, preferring instead her own space and snuggles with her humans. But in Connecticut, a different Smokey started to emerge who was much more tolerant of other cats and curious about her new surroundings. This video — caught on house cameras — was one of the first times we saw her go beyond her normal boundaries and start to explore her new house. In the wee hours, the kitten comes out to play!
