The Philippines are inhabited by more than 180 species of mammals. The seas surrounding the islands and the inland lakes, rivers, estuaries, and ponds are inhabited by no fewer than 2,000 varieties of fish. So, in this video we will only be able to cover a few. If you ever have a chance to travel, stay for an extended period or move there as an expat these are some mammals you may run into: Carabao, tarsiers, goats, horses, hogs, monkeys, among others. The tamaraw, a species of small water buffalo, is found only on Mindoro. There are over 1,000 species of fish and 488 species of coral. Sea horses are common in the reefs of the Visayan Islands.
