At the time of this video, I’ve had this cooler for about two months. I’ve used it multiple times on the boat and in the car for groceries. The most unique thing about this cooler is the fact that it is entirely aluminum both inside and out. Aluminum does not hold heat like plastic. It gets very hot or very cold very quickly with minimal energy from the temperature source. This causes the cooler to get very cold very quickly without depleting the ice. In fact, it can become cold just from the cold food that you put in it on a grocery run. So for that situation, it is functional without any ice. However, when using the ice provided the interior walls of the cooler get cold immediately and stay cold. you’ll see in this video after six hours of use in the hot Florida sun. It still has ice crystals inside and is very cold. in the same scenario, the yeti cooler would be cold, but not this cold and the ice would be liquid as opposed to still solid as you’ll see in this video. I’d say for some people the only drawback would be it’ll debt. For me, I think it adds character and I look forward to the bumps and bruises.
