Want to rip out your old carpet or vinyl floor but don't have the money to put in hardwood flooring? Using this simple DIY technique, you can give your floor a faux leather look with the tones of woodand it's really cheap. We did the floor in the video for .50 a square foot.

You use brown craft paper (like in paper grocery bags), white glue to make it lay flat, and then several coats of finish. It wears amazingly well. Different kinds of paper will give you a different look.
