Our lambing journey continues with a Suffolk ewe in labor as soon as we arrive at the sheep barn. Witness the miracle of birth as we lend a helping hand for the arrival of her second lamb. After ensuring the lambs receive their essential colostrum through tube feeding, we take precautions to prevent infection by carefully dipping their naval cords in iodine.

Following this, we introduce them to a lambing jug, where they will spend the next few days. Discover the significance of this practice, as it allows the ewe to rest and form a strong bond with her newborns before rejoining the flock.
