China is a formidable and emerging power on the world stage, and its booming economy is the second largest in the world. Yet Western economists have long been incorrectly predicting its collapse. Why do they keep getting it wrong?

Because, according to Keyu Jin, the Chinese economy that most Westerners picture is an incomplete sketch, based on Western dated assumptions and incomplete information. We need a new understanding of China, one that takes a holistic view of its history and its culture.
