Gayatri Mantra is considered the most sacred mantra because it connects us with the Source, with God, with the Creator.

Om bhūr bhuva svar
tat savitur varenyam
bhargo devasya dhīmahi
dhiyo yo nah prachodayāt

"O God of life that brings happiness
Give us your light that destroys sins
May your divinity penetrate us
And can inspire our mind. "

This mantra helps us to find the Divine Wisdom and guidance, because we can overcome problems, sufferings, diseases, misery and any barrier.

Each syllable of the mantra contains a mystical meaning, according to Sai Baba:

Om bhur buvah svaha (OM, body, life, spirit)
Bhur, Bhuvah Svaha refer to the body (Bhur means Bhuloka (earth), the combination of elements), the vital force (Buvah refers to the life force that makes the vibrational body) to the radiance of the soul. (Suvaha, refers to Prajnana Shakti, who sustains the life force)

Thath Savithur varenyam (for That, the Divine Mother we worship) Tat: That.
Savitri: the divine mother.
being the deity that presides over the vital principle, protects our life.

Bhargo Devasya dhimahi (in the Light, in the divinity we meditate) "Bhargo devasya" means that the sun is what dispels the darkness.
