Here is the famous Portuguese Cod Recipe that everyone wants to try. Bacalhau Lagareiro.
It is a simple recipe, with few ingredients. The key is to choose the right cut of cod.
The most used slice for this recipe is the socalled "Posta de Cod".
How to desalt cod:
First wash off all visible salt, prepare a container with cold water and submerge the piece of cod. It has to be completely submerged. Change the water every 8 hours for two or three days, depending on the thickness of the cod. The water must be very cold. Keep the container in a cool place or even in the refrigerator.
