God fulfills all the criteria for intelligent nonhuman life on a higher plane, and the Bible, among other things, is a collection of documented encounters with God. Heck, angels are sometimes called “heavenly beings”. Maybe the longing to encounter alien life is actually just the longing to encounter our Father in Heaven.

Jesus Christ was one heck of a planetfall. He accomplished everything He set out to do, and He’s gonna come back someday.
