The Lighthouse was written by Robert Eggers and his brother Max and stars Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe. The Lighthouse is a strange film, in many ways. It's a period piece about two lighthouse keepers from the 1890s, a potentially dull sounding plot synopsis actually turns out to be a wildly entertaining film. There is a timeless quality to The Lighthouse. A quality that I explore further in this video essay!
