Lucali's pizza is not only said to be some of the best in Brooklyn but in the world. We arrived hours early to eat at the legendary pizzeria but still had to queue for over 2 hours just to get a pizza. The story behind Lucali helps further increase the legendary status of the pizzeria. Prior to opening Lucali in 2006, owner Mark Iacono had never dreamt of being a cook. From working in construction, to studying at the famous Di Fara’s, to serving Alist celebrities like Jay Z and Beyoncé, the story of Lucali is one filled with mystic and legend.
