This history of the Fourth Crusade is this history of greed, corruption, and desecretion. It is the story of a military expedition that went horribly wrong. Instead of fulfilling the crusading vow to retake Jerusalem, the soldiers of the Fourth Crusade would ironically and irrevocably damage fellow Christians and lay the foundation for the fall of one of the greatest empires in history.
