With this new spotlight, will MOTHER 3 be localized for western audiences? Could a remake of the MOTHER series be helmed by someone other than Shigesato Itoi, like an Indie Game dev? Is this release just a formality for the Nintendo Switch Online, which only happened to slide in right before the closure of the 3DS and Wii U Virtual Consoles? What is the future of the Mother Series?
