San Diego's first vegan festival/VegFest happened in 2023, and the 2024 one is happening again this April so let's do a recap of last year's. The San Diego vegan festival/VegFest has a lot of vendors and so we'll try to the best our possibility try as much vegan savory eats, vegan bakeries, and shop at vegan stores. We'll be dining at Underdog, a vegan corndog restaurant that specializes in vegan Korean corndogs. We'll then head over to Leo's Kitchen to check out their vegan sushi options for the day. Afterwards, let's go to Flavors of East Africa to try some of the vegan East African cuisine of the day. Then we'll try the vegan pupusas from Pupusas & Latin Food.

For restaurants, we'll check out Mothership, a fully vegan bar serving mocktails, cocktails, snacks, and dessert. Let's get a vegan scallion pancake, oat milk based soft serve that's cereal flavored, and some drinks. Then let's swing over to Nibble Chocolate, an all vegan Latin American chocolate shop. Here we will be shopping for vegan truffles, and picking between a variety of vegan hot chocolate drinks, and vegan snacks such as vegan brownies. Let's try a vegan spicy Mexican hot chocolate. We will then go over to Donna Jean's and try the vegan fermented dough pizza, the vegan cheesecake, and the vegan mac and cheese skillet. Then we'll continue our adventure at Hazel & Jade, a vegan croissant shop and get a ham and cheese croissant shop, explore the other vegan pastries they have, and also try one of the vegan cheddar biscuits that's similar to the Red Lobster cheddar biscuits. After a busy day at the San Diego Vegan Festival/San Diego VegFest, we'll head over to the famous Maya's Cookies brick and mortar location and try some vegan cookies along with a vegan oat milk based soft serve. San Diego Vegan Market is another spot we'll check out which is a vegan convenience store, or you could also say a vegan grocery store. We'll then have vegan gnocchi, and vegan cannoli at Civico 1845 for some vegan options in Little Italy. Then we'll try a vegan mango sticky rice ice cream and a vegan strawberry oat crumble ice cream from Stella Jean's. This restaurant also has vegan gluten free cones! Then Plant Power Fast Food to have a vegan "Big Mac", some vegan animal fries, and a vegan cookies and cream milkshake. Then swing by Thanh Tinh Chay to try vegan egg drop soup and the vegan egg noodles soup. Then we'll visit a vegan raw eatery called Peace Pies and try raw vegan nachos and a raw vegan tuna wrap.
