Madagascar – the ultimate island. Nowhere else exist so many weird animals at one place. For millions of years, this island lay isolated in the Indian Ocean. Far from the main continents a unique flora and fauna could evolve here. Like the Ringtailed Lemurs, a group of prosimians only living on Madagascar. Being very adaptive, they can even survive in the dry, inhospitable places of the island.
Young Ringtailed Lemurs are not part of any family, they must first find a way into one. On high karst plateaus, nights can get freezing cold. Someone to cuddle up might make a difference between life and death. Another danger is the elegant Fossa, a lemurhunter. Strong bodies give them the power and their climbing skills are just as good as the ones of the lemurs. This strange island holds many dramatic stories of its weird inhabitants.
