I always just thought I was a picky eater. Turns out, that wasn't the case at all. My eating habits ended up being an eating disorder I didn't even know existed. Welcome to my life with ARFID, the avoidant restrictive food intake disorder.

I personally found out about ARFID through social media, so I'd love to carry that forward to bring greater awareness to this eating disorder that is so misunderstood. It's a real problem and not an immature choice to never grow up. I'm hoping that for some, it might be a huge relief to have a name for their eating habits. I know it was for me.
