It's easy to be distracted during the holidays and leave bags on the floor or within reach of curious pets and children. Whether they're hiding in them, playing with them, or chewing on them, pets and children can be easily suffocated or ingest a dangerous amount of plastic. As you can see in this video, Shorty has always been attracted to bags and it only takes a second for a cat to wrangle themselves into an inescapable situation.
There was also a time in the middle of the night that I heard a loud ruckus and Kodi had caught himself in the handle of a gift bag and was running from one end of the place to the other. It took a long time to get to him you know how agile he is and he was very afraid. Luckily, I finally got to him and he was ok.
This is a reupload from a few years ago, but I wanted to put it as a new video again to get the most reach. These lessons are too often learned too late. So take care and do your best to remember to keep your cats free from hazardous things in the house.
