The dryer outlet in your home, whether it be 3prong or 4prong, is probably one of the most versatile outlets. It can power your dryer, charge electric vehicles, and power an array of other tools or appliances. Most of the time, in order to use it for more than one thing, you need to keep unplugging and plugging back in your appliances.

Don’t you wish there was an easier way to go about doing this? Is there a way to have two appliances plugged into one dryer outlet safely?

Welcome back to AC Connectors. In order to combat the annoying act of unplugging and replugging appliances, we have developed a Ycable with a safety switch.

With this product, you can plug two appliances into one dryer outlet without worrying about blowing a breaker. We have this AC WORKS® Safety Switch Ycable available for both a 3prong and 4prong dryer outlet.

The most common need we have heard from our customers is the need to have a dryer and EV charger hooked up to one single dryer outlet. This outlet splitter is perfect for that.

Just simply plug it into your outlet. Mount it onto your wall for easy access to the switch. And then with the switch on the 0 and your two appliances turned off, plug in your dryer and EV charger. To help you remember where each is plugged in, we recommend labeling the 1 and 2 for the different appliances you have plugged in.

When you need to run your clothes dryer, flip the switch to the corresponding number. And when you need to charge your electric vehicle, switch it to the other. This will allow you to power each appliance at different times. Please note that both models are rated for up to 30 amps, so do not try to power anything higher than that.

If you ever need to change out appliances or unplug something, always make sure the control box is switched to 0.

And just like that, you no longer have to move your dryer or repeatedly change cords in your outlet.
