The Cargo Box Cove Products “Hitch mounted cargo box” is unique in the fact that it can quickly attach or detach from your vehicle in seconds. Simply remove the "Cargo Box" and roll, store and keep your gear ready and organized for next time. There is no need to pack and unpack your vehicle with gear each time you go somewhere. Just slide it on and hit the road. The “Rollaway feature” includes wheels and a retractable handle to transport your tools, luggage or gear to any location. Unlike a hardtoreach rooftop cargo box, our hitch mounted box Works with lower height garage doors and makes it simple to reach and stow away your gear at a lower level. The front panel even folds down giving you more access. This “Cargo Box” is totally enclosed. No more strapping your items down. Set your items inside, close the lid and lock it. Protecting the cargo from getting dirty, falling off or theft. It has three locking features. You can lock the cargo box to the hitch bracket, and then the hitch bracket to the vehicle, and then lock the lid of the cargo box with two pad locks. Keeping your items completely secure. The “Slide out feature” allows the Cargo Box to come off completely or slide away giving access to your vehicles rear hatch, tailgate, or trunk. The base is sturdy enough to slide out even with the box loaded to capacity. The steel cable prevents the box from over extending. However, you must slide the carrier back into place and secure it with the safety pin before moving your vehicle. This Cargo Box conveniently folds up flat, when not in use. Saving storage space. No need to remove the hitch bracket in tight spaces because it swings up quickly out of the way, with our optional Swing up Bracket. This enclosed carrier is great for any road trip because of the extra amount of room it provides: 2 large suit cases, 2 carryon bags, 2 large duffel bags, and 2 folding chairs. This carrier is an ideal solution for transporting extra gear on the rear of your vehicle. Yet still allows you to see out of the rear window of our vehicle. The box carrier is made out of heavyduty polyethylene double wall construction with powder coated steel frame for strength. The gas springs on both sides of the box hold the lid open. Allowing you to load and unload your gear with both hands. The handles on each side provide easier lifting for two people. The wheels and retractable handle make it easier to tote your gear around. The tail lights are attached directly to the powder coated hitch bracket and not to the cargo box. Making it easier to remove the box without unplugging wires. The "hitch bracket" includes a snug tight bracket which helps to keeps the box from wobbling and prevents noise vibrations in trailer hitch receiver. This Cargo Box easily mounts to the back of any SUV, truck, or car that has a 2” square towing receiver. It’s also pre wired with a 4way connector for the tail lights and turn signals. Please note that the "Cargo Box" requires two people to slide on and off the hitch bracket assembly. As it is quite heavy, even when empty. Also be sure to check the location of the tail pipe of your vehicle to make sure it is not facing directly on plastic box, it will melt.
